This 6-foot composite video cable is suitable for carrying standard-definition analog video from various types of sources--usually older equipment such as standard VHS decks--to receivers or displays. Composite video cable does not carry audio along with it, so accompanying audio cables will be required for most common applications. Composite video cable is the lowest-quality mode of hookup for most devices, other than modulated RF, and so should be used only if s-video, component or HDMI are not available. Our composite video cables are also usable for S/PDIF digital audio connections, and in fact, our coaxial digital audio cable and our composite video cable are actually the same product with different connector colors (orange for S/PDIF, yellow for composite video). These cables are 75 ohm characteristic impedance, RG-59 style cable, with gold-plated RCA plugs at each end.
